Grand Central Hotel Private Limited has announced the opening of Ramada by Wyndham Itahari Pashupati Marg, introducing branded hospitality to Itahari, a city in eastern Nepal. The property showcases the company’s ongoing focus on hotel development and investment in emerging urban centres across the country.
Owned by Mr. Desh Bandhu Basnet, the hotel has been developed in partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. The opening marks an important step in Itahari’s development as a transit and business hub, supported by increasing commercial activity and connectivity in the region.
The hotel features 81 guest rooms, designed with a focus on comfort and functionality for both business and leisure travellers. Facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, a bar and lounge, a health club, a spa, and an outdoor swimming pool.
For meetings and events, the property offers banquet halls and a dedicated meeting room, catering to corporate gatherings and social functions.
Commenting on the opening, Mr. Desh Bandhu Basnet, Owner, Grand Central Hotel Private Limited, said that the development responds to the growing demand for quality accommodation in Itahari. He noted that the collaboration with Wyndham combines local market understanding with established hospitality standards.
Mr. Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director – Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said the partnership supports the brand’s presence in developing urban markets. He added that Itahari’s role as a commercial gateway aligns with Wyndham’s expansion strategy in South Asia.

The Wyndham Itahari opening adds to Wyndham’s portfolio in Nepal and reflects the ongoing growth of branded hotels in regional markets.
Guests staying at the property will also be able to access Wyndham Rewards, the company’s global loyalty programme, which offers member benefits across its network of hotels.
