Royal Orchid Hotels Appoints Akshat Das as Vice President – Revenue and Amit Sharma as Corporate Head – Learning & Development

Royal Orchid Hotels has announced the appointments of Akshat Das as Vice President – Revenue and Amit Sharma as Corporate Head – Learning & Development, strengthening its leadership team across commercial and talent development functions.
Akshat Das: Appointed as Vice President- Revenue

Akshat Das brings over 21 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with expertise in revenue management, distribution strategy, and commercial performance. His career includes leadership roles with The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, Island Resort Maldives, Al Nahda Resort & Spa, Alila Jabal Akhdar, and Hotelivate.
Prior to joining Royal Orchid Hotels, he was associated with ITC Hotels, where he served as General Manager – Revenue and Distribution for Fortune Park Hotels Limited. He has also held roles as Corporate Manager – Revenue & Distribution at Fortune Park Hotels and Associate Director at Hotelivate.
In his new role, Das will lead revenue management and distribution strategies across the Royal Orchid Hotels portfolio, focusing on commercial performance and business growth.
Amit Sharma: Appointed as Corporate Head- Learning & Development

Amit Sharma brings more than 24 years of experience across hospitality training, human resources, and hotel operations. His background includes leadership roles with ITC WelcomHeritage Hotels, The Fern Hotels & Resorts, and Oberoi Hotels & Resorts.
Before joining Royal Orchid Hotels, Sharma served as Director – Learning & Development Operations at BWH Hotels, where he oversaw training initiatives across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. He has also held the position of Corporate Training Manager at BWH Hotels and spent over eight years with ITC WelcomHeritage Hotels.
In his new role, Sharma will lead learning and development initiatives across the group, focusing on training programs, leadership development, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
These appointments reflect Royal Orchid Hotels’ focus on strengthening its commercial and human resource capabilities as it continues to expand its operations.
