Storii Expands Presence in East India with New Guwahati Signing
ITC Hotels Adds Storii Guwahati as the Brand Reaches 25 Properties
ITC Hotels Limited has announced the signing of Storii by ITC Hotels Guwahati, marking the 25th property under its Storii brand. The new retreat will be developed in partnership with Bhauram Jodhraj and will be located within the Amchong Tea Estate on the outskirts of Guwahati, Assam.
The property will feature 43 rooms and is expected to offer guests an experience centred on the region’s tea-growing heritage, natural surroundings and local culture. The signing further strengthens ITC Hotels’ presence in East India and expands the Storii brand’s footprint in leisure destinations across the country.
Storii by ITC Hotels focuses on destination-led hospitality, with properties located in hill stations, coastal regions, wildlife destinations, heritage towns and culturally significant locations. The addition of a tea estate retreat introduces a new setting to the brand’s growing portfolio.

Commenting on the development, Anil Chadha, Managing Director of ITC Hotels Limited, said the Storii brand has evolved around showcasing the character of destinations across India. He noted that North East India continues to attract growing interest from travellers and remains an important region for the company’s expansion plans.

Ananya Khemka, Partner at Bhauram Jodhraj, said the Amchong Tea Estate has been part of the family’s legacy for four generations. He added that the partnership with ITC Hotels reflects a shared commitment to preserving local heritage while creating meaningful travel experiences connected to the destination.
Over the past two years, the Storii portfolio has expanded across several leisure markets in India. Recent signings include properties in Dhari Gir, Karjat, Mukundgarh Fort, Mussoorie, Rani Pokhari (Rishikesh), Ranthambore, Sasan Gir, Shantiniketan, Udupi and Wayanad.
The latest signing reflects continued interest in destination-focused hospitality projects and highlights the growing role of regional tourism destinations in India’s hospitality sector.
