Vietnam Hotel Pipeline Expands with Two New Developments
IHG Adds Regent Ho Tram and Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a two-hotel agreement in Vietnam with real estate developer Meraki Land, adding Regent Ho Tram and Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong to its development pipeline.
The agreement strengthens the existing relationship between the two companies and includes a branded residences component. Meraki Land currently owns Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection, and is a founding shareholder of Crowne Plaza Danang City Centre.
Regent Ho Tram is scheduled to open in 2032 and will feature 220 keys along a beachfront location in Ho Tram. The resort will include 110 suites, 30 Skyvilla Suites with private pools, and 80 villas ranging from two to four bedrooms. Dining venues, wellness facilities and a collection of branded residences are also planned as part of the development.
Located less than two hours from Ho Chi Minh City, the property will benefit from access to major tourism and leisure attractions in the area, including The Grand Ho Tram Strip and The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram Golf Club. Improved connectivity is also expected through the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport.
Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong is expected to open in 2029 in Thuan An, Binh Duong Province. The 221-key hotel will form part of a mixed-use development featuring commercial, retail and residential components.
Binh Duong is one of Vietnam’s major industrial centres and is home to numerous multinational companies and manufacturing facilities. The hotel is expected to cater primarily to business travellers visiting the region.]
Facilities at the property will include three dining venues, a fitness centre, swimming pool and more than 1,000 square metres of meeting and event space across six meeting rooms.
Commenting on the agreement, Vivek Bhalla, Managing Director, South East Asia and Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the projects reflect the company’s continued growth strategy in Vietnam across both leisure and urban markets.
Nguyen Thai Dong Huong, Chief Executive Officer of Meraki Land, said the agreement represents a further step in the partnership between the two organisations, with a focus on long-term development and destination growth.
IHG currently operates 24 hotels in Vietnam and has a further 19 properties in its development pipeline.
