IHCL Signs Gateway Hotel in Hyderabad, Brand Portfolio Reaches 50 Properties
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a Gateway hotel in Somajiguda, Hyderabad, taking the brand’s portfolio to 50 hotels. The upcoming property will be developed as a conversion project.

Leah Tata, Vice President and Brand Leader for Gateway Hotels & Resorts at IHCL, said the brand focuses on offering hotels that reflect the character of their destinations. She noted that the brand has expanded across metro cities, state capitals and commercial centres, and the addition of the Hyderabad property marks Gateway’s entry into the city. She also confirmed that IHCL is partnering with D. Siva Rama Raju and DVS. Soma Raju for the project.
Gateway Somajiguda to Feature 225 Rooms and Event Spaces
The upcoming hotel will feature 225 rooms and suites. The hotel will include an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a bar and a lounge.
Guest facilities will include a gym, health club, swimming pool and treatment rooms. The hotel will also offer event and conference spaces, including 11 banquet halls, including one approximately 10,000 square feet, supported by several meeting rooms.
Property owners D. Siva Rama Raju and DVS. Soma Raju said they look forward to working with IHCL on the project and introducing the Gateway brand to Somajiguda.

Somajiguda is a commercial and residential district in Hyderabad, known for its offices, retail spaces and healthcare institutions.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have eight hotels in Telangana, including three currently under development.
