AirAsia RedRun Announces Seven-City Schedule for 2026 Regional Series

Running events planned across Asia as the airline continues its regional sports initiative

AirAsia has announced the 2026 edition of the AirAsia RedRun, its regional running series that will take place across several cities in Asia. The event will be held in seven destinations across ASEAN and Asia, following the launch of the series in 2025.

The RedRun initiative focuses on encouraging active lifestyles and community participation through running events. It also aims to connect participants with different travel destinations across the region.

Seven Cities Selected for 2026 Series

The 2026 series will include races in Da Nang, Bali, Kota Kinabalu, Cebu, Phuket, Surabaya and Taipei.

Three of the locations have already confirmed their event dates and opened registration for participants.

  • Da Nang, Vietnam: 26 April 2026 (registration closes 10 March 2026)

  • Bali, Indonesia: 10 May 2026 (registration closes 9 May 2026)

  • Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia: 28 June 2026 (registration closes 27 June 2026)

Dates for the races in Cebu, Phuket, Surabaya and Taipei will be announced at a later stage.

Race Categories and Participation

Participants will be able to register for 5 km, 10 km and 21 km race categories. The series is open to runners of different experience levels and is expected to attract participants from across Asia.

The event also offers participants access to travel-related promotions, including flight and accommodation deals linked to the destinations hosting the races.

Prizes will be awarded to top performers, including flight benefits and event merchandise.
