Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fatehsagar Lake Opens in Rajasthan

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fatehsagar Lake, marking the arrival of a new landmark in the heart of Rajasthan. Set against the Aravalli Mountains and located within a 26-acre estate near Fatehsagar Lake, the resort joins a global collection of Wyndham Grand hotels, offering spaces suited for weddings, celebrations, and relaxed stays.

Opening Celebrations

To mark the hotel’s opening, guests, industry representatives, and local dignitaries gathered for an event that showcased elements of Rajasthani culture. Arrivals were welcomed with traditional tika, pag, and flower petals, followed by performances featuring Kachi Ghodi dancers and music from the algoza and kamaycha. Live culinary stations highlighted regional flavours throughout the evening.

Dimitris Manikis, President, EMEA, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, shared that the opening reflects the brand’s continued presence in India and its alignment with destinations known for culture and hospitality. He noted that the property brings the Wyndham Grand brand to Udaipur with a focus on connected, authentic stays.

A Lakeside Setting in Udaipur

Udaipur, often described as the “Venice of the East,” is known for its lakes, palaces, and artistic heritage. Wyndham Grand Udaipur Fatehsagar Lake offers views of the surrounding mountains and provides access to cultural sites such as Jagdish Temple, Shilpgram, and City Palace.

Inside, the property incorporates design elements inspired by Udaipur’s architectural tradition. The resort features 140 guestrooms and suites with contemporary interiors, Gokhda-style sit-outs, marble bathrooms, and whirlpool bathtubs in select categories. An upcoming Palace Wing will add 60 more rooms, combining heritage features with modern design. As a pure vegetarian resort, dining options include Pyaala, Shakahari, and O Sian, offering Indian and international cuisine with a focus on locally sourced ingredients.

Spaces for Events and Leisure

The property includes large indoor and outdoor venues suitable for weddings, gatherings, and corporate events, including an amphitheatre, a ballroom, and the Vintage Lawn. Guests can access various leisure options, including a heated outdoor pool, Zivaya Spa, and courts for tennis, badminton, basketball, volleyball, and cricket.

Services include concierge assistance, childcare support, butler services, bridal studios, and on-site EV charging, creating a seamless stay for both leisure and event-focused visitors.

Chirag Maroo, Owner of Wyndham Grand Udaipur, shared that the intent behind the project was to create a space that is connected to Udaipur’s environment and cultural heritage, offering experiences that encourage exploration and relaxation.
