Canopy by Hilton enters Türkiye with openings in Istanbul and Izmir

Hilton will introduce its Canopy by Hilton brand to Türkiye with two openings this month in Istanbul and Izmir. The launch follows the Turkish debut of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton earlier this year and continued growth of the Curio Collection by Hilton portfolio in the country.

Canopy by Hilton becomes the latest lifestyle brand to join Hilton’s Türkiye portfolio, with two new properties:

Canopy by Hilton Istanbul Taksim

Located near Taksim Square and Istiklal Avenue, the 110-room hotel is set in the Beyoğlu district. The property features contemporary design influenced by the area’s cultural heritage, an all-day dining restaurant serving Turkish and international cuisine, and a wine bar housed within a restored 150-year-old cistern.

Canopy by Hilton Izmir Bomonti

Situated within the Mahall Bomonti complex, the 191-room hotel combines modern amenities with locally inspired design. The interiors reflect the natural textures and colours of the Aegean region, with dining venues and social spaces shaped by the character of the Bomonti neighbourhood.

Michael Collini, Vice President, Development, Central and Eastern Europe at Hilton, said the openings align with growing demand for lifestyle accommodation in Türkiye. He noted that Hilton’s lifestyle brands now account for around one-fifth of the company’s global development pipeline, reflecting changing traveller preferences for design-led, locally connected stays.

Hilton expects to open four lifestyle properties in Türkiye in 2025 across the Canopy by Hilton, Curio Collection by Hilton, and Tapestry Collection by Hilton brands. Recent additions include The Ritus Hotel Istanbul Sultanahmet (Tapestry Collection by Hilton) and Altunizade Suites Istanbul (Curio Collection by Hilton).

The company also has nine lifestyle hotels under development in Türkiye, with five planned to open next year. These include Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia, Curio Collection by Hilton; Porto Chiara Istanbul Karakoy, Curio Collection by Hilton; Les Temps Istanbul Karakoy, Curio Collection by Hilton; Palazzo Donizetti Istanbul, Tapestry Collection by Hilton; and Myrna Izmir Konak, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

The two Canopy by Hilton openings add to Hilton’s broader European lifestyle portfolio, which spans nearly 90 hotels across multiple markets.
