The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with governmental and private sector partners, has introduced the ‘Trusted Thailand’ symbol — a certification aimed at enhancing safety standards and fostering confidence among international visitors.

The initiative, introduced on Thursday, focuses on enhancing safety and operational standards across the hospitality sector, including hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions.

Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, noted the steady rise in international arrivals, with over 26.7 million visitors recorded in the first ten months of 2025, including 3.7 million from China. He emphasized that maintaining strong safety protocols is key to sustaining Thailand’s position as a reliable travel destination.

Yang Xiaolong, Cultural Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, commended the initiative, highlighting that safety remains a central consideration for travellers and appreciating Thailand’s efforts to foster mutual trust and cooperation.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool stated that the ‘Trusted Thailand’ program seeks to restore confidence following recent challenges and reaffirm the country’s commitment to safe, high-quality tourism experiences. The initiative aligns with Thailand’s broader tourism objectives, including its target of achieving 2.8 trillion baht in tourism revenue by 2026.
