Flight Centre Global Gathering Brings 2,000 Delegates to Bangkok
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) supported Flight Centre Global Gathering: Bangkok 2026, welcoming more than 2,000 delegates from Flight Centre Travel Group’s (FCTG) international network between 10 and 12 July 2026.
The event brought together travel consultants, executives and business teams from around the world, reinforcing Thailand’s position as a destination for international business events and travel industry gatherings.
Promoting Thailand to Global Travel Professionals

Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, said:
“Flight Centre Global Gathering: Bangkok 2026 places Thailand before high-performing travel professionals who influence destination choices across international markets. This supports TAT’s Value over Volume direction and our ‘Healing is the New Luxury’ approach by highlighting health and wellness tourism alongside culture, gastronomy, Thai hospitality and responsible travel, creating meaningful experiences, wider economic value and lasting benefits for local communities.”
Showcasing Thai Culture
TAT’s Sydney Office coordinated the authority’s support for the event in collaboration with Flight Centre and public- and private-sector partners.
Delegates experienced Thai hospitality through welcome activities at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park and Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit, including demonstrations of Nuat Thai, the traditional Thai massage recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage, as well as interactive cultural activities.
Business and Networking Events
The programme included the Flight Centre Sponsor Networking Lunch at Baan Dusit Thani, bringing together more than 500 travel executives, tourism partners and Thai tourism businesses.
Other activities included the main conference at UOB Live, the Global Awards Dinner at Impact Arena, and Flight Fest at Asiatique The Riverfront.
Experiencing Bangkok
Delegates also participated in curated tours across Bang Rak, Yaowarat and Talat Noi, alongside a visit to Rajadamnern Stadium to experience Muay Thai.
As part of the responsible tourism programme, a portion of registration proceeds will be donated to the National Elephant Institute under Royal Patronage and the Thai Elephant Conservation Center in Lampang.
Supporting Tourism Growth
Flight Centre Global Gathering: Bangkok 2026 is expected to generate approximately 262 million Baht in tourism revenue.
Beyond its economic impact, the event provides Thailand with an opportunity to strengthen relationships with international travel professionals, particularly from Australia and other long-haul markets, helping to promote the country to future travellers.
