voco Udaipur to Add 140 Rooms in Rajasthan’s Hospitality Market

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Circle View Estate Private Ltd for the development of voco Udaipur, a new hotel scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2029.

The 140-room property will be developed on the foothills of the Aravalli range and will overlook the city of Udaipur. The signing marks the continued expansion of IHG’s premium portfolio in India and adds another internationally branded hotel to Rajasthan’s hospitality landscape.

Known for its heritage, lakes, and cultural attractions, Udaipur continues to draw domestic and international visitors year-round. The city also remains a popular destination for weddings, conferences and social events, creating sustained demand for quality hospitality offerings.

The voco brand combines the individuality of independent hotels with the operational support of a global hospitality company. The brand is recognised for its distinctive design, relaxed atmosphere and guest-focused service approach.

Commenting on the signing, Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said that Udaipur remains an important market for the group due to its established tourism appeal and growing demand across leisure, wedding and event segments.

He added that the partnership with Circle View Estate Private Ltd will strengthen IHG’s presence in Rajasthan while introducing the voco brand to one of the state’s key tourism destinations.

Nakul Karnawat, Director, Circle View Estate Private Ltd, said the partnership with IHG will bring a new hospitality offering to Udaipur, combining the voco brand identity with IHG’s operational and commercial expertise.

Upon completion, voco Udaipur will feature 140 guestrooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, meeting and event facilities, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and a spa. The hotel is expected to cater to both leisure and business travellers visiting the city.

The project forms part of IHG’s broader growth strategy in India, where the company currently operates 52 hotels across six brands. In addition, 98 hotels are in various stages of development and are expected to open over the next three to five years.
