Etihad Expands Summer Network

Etihad Summer Schedule Adds Four Destinations and Five Seasonal Routes

Etihad Airways has expanded its summer schedule with additional capacity, new destinations and the return of several seasonal services as travel demand to, from and through Abu Dhabi continues to grow.

The airline operates more than 300 daily flights during the summer, supported by a larger fleet and increased network capacity. According to the airline, summer capacity has risen by 10 percent compared with the same period last year, while the fleet has grown by 23 aircraft year-on-year.

Between 11 and 14 June, Etihad launched four new routes connecting Abu Dhabi with Kraków, Palma de Mallorca, Damascus and Zanzibar.

The airline is also reinstating five seasonal services, providing travellers with additional leisure travel options across Europe and North Africa. The returning destinations include:

  • Mykonos – from 15 June
  • Malaga – from 15 June
  • Santorini – from 16 June
  • Nice – from 19 June
  • Al Alamein – from 16 July

Commenting on the expansion, Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said the airline continues to increase capacity and add destinations in response to demand across its international network.

The newly launched routes strengthen connectivity between Abu Dhabi and key destinations across Europe, the Middle East and the Indian Ocean. Kraków offers access to southern Poland, while Palma de Mallorca expands links with Spain’s Balearic Islands. Damascus enhances regional connectivity, and Zanzibar adds a new leisure destination in East Africa.

Alongside network growth, Etihad and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi have introduced complimentary medical travel insurance for eligible international visitors travelling on Etihad-operated flights to Abu Dhabi.

Etihad Airways Reports Record Passenger Numbers in 2025

Available from July to December 2026 and administered by The National Insurance Company – Daman, the programme provides up to 15 days of medical coverage within the UAE. The initiative also applies to travellers using Etihad’s stopover programme, which encourages visitors to spend time in Abu Dhabi during transit journeys.

The latest route additions form part of Etihad’s broader strategy to expand connectivity and support tourism growth in Abu Dhabi, while offering travellers a wider range of destinations during the summer travel season.
