Marriott International Promotes Rahul Puri as Market Vice President, North India, Bhutan & Nepal

Marriott International has announced the promotion of Rahul Puri to Market Vice President, North India, Bhutan & Nepal.

Rahul brings over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with expertise spanning commercial strategy, operations, and market development. In his new role, he will oversee the performance of Marriott International’s portfolio across North India, Bhutan and Nepal, working closely with General Managers to drive growth, strengthen market positioning, enhance owner relations, and support long-term value creation.

Rahul began his journey with Marriott International in 2008 in Beijing, where he led Revenue Strategy for the Beijing and Tianjin markets. Over the years, he has held several leadership roles, including Area Director of Revenue Strategy for South Asia, Australia and Malaysia, and later Senior Area Director of Revenue Strategy, South Asia, where he provided strategic oversight for a portfolio of more than 100 hotels across multiple brands.

In 2018, Rahul transitioned into hotel operations as Multi-Property General Manager for The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi, and The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa. During his tenure, the properties strengthened their market positioning, improved guest satisfaction, and delivered strong business performance. He also contributed to the development of food and beverage concepts and new revenue streams.

Rahul served as Chairman of the Marriott India Business Council from 2020 to 2023, contributing to industry collaboration and brand initiatives across the region.

Prior to joining Marriott International, Rahul held roles with InterContinental Hotels Group, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, and Taj Hotels. His international experience spans markets including Australia, China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.

In his new role, he will lead Marriott International’s operations across North India, Bhutan and Nepal, focusing on growth, operational performance, and stakeholder engagement.

The promotion reflects Marriott International’s continued focus on strengthening leadership across key markets.
