Hilton Launches Apartment Collection by Hilton, Expanding Furnished Stay Options
Hilton has announced Apartment Collection by Hilton, a new lodging category within its portfolio of collection brands. The new brand will offer furnished apartment-style accommodation with Hilton’s service standards and operational consistency.
Apartment Collection by Hilton is expected to be available for booking through Hilton’s direct channels in the first half of 2026, with initial properties launching in the United States through a partnership with Placemakr, an operator specialising in flexible short-term and extended-stay apartment accommodations.
Initial Rollout and Growth Plans
Hilton said the launch builds on its existing global inventory of around 10,000 apartment-style units. Through the Placemakr partnership, Hilton expects to add up to 3,000 additional units, with further growth planned through future franchise agreements with owners in the multi-family housing segment.
Bookings will be integrated into Hilton’s platforms, including Hilton.com, and the first destinations are expected to include New York City, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta.
Designed for Short and Extended Stays

Apartment Collection by Hilton will offer a range of furnished units, from studio apartments to four-bedroom layouts, catering to different travel needs, including family trips, group travel, and longer business stays.
Key in-room features are expected to include:
Chef-ready kitchens
Separate living areas
On-site laundry
Hilton said each property will be located in central areas with access to key attractions and local neighbourhoods. Guests will also have on-site support, with dedicated team members available 24/7.
Partnership with Placemakr

Placemakr brings multi-family operational experience and works with residential building owners to convert entire buildings or portions of units into furnished short-term rentals. Hilton said Placemakr’s operating model will support the rollout of the new brand across urban and suburban markets.

Chris Nassetta, President and CEO of Hilton, said the new category reflects Hilton’s focus on meeting demand for apartment-style accommodation while expanding guest choice across travel occasions.

Chris Silcock, President, Global Brands and Commercial Services, Hilton, said Hilton identified an opportunity to deliver hospitality-led apartment stays with consistent amenities and neighbourhood-based experiences, and that Placemakr aligns with that approach.
Bao Vuong, Co-founder and President of Placemakr, said the partnership will allow Hilton guests and Hilton Honors members to access furnished apartment stays through Hilton’s booking channels. Jason Fudin, Co-founder and CEO of Placemakr, added that Hilton’s distribution scale can support property partners and expand flexible real estate models.
Property Amenities and Hilton Honors Integration

Hilton said Apartment Collection by Hilton properties will be designed to support daily routines, with flexible spaces for both work and leisure. Guests will also have access to fitness centres, and some locations may include:
Rooftop pools and terraces
Communal gathering and workspaces
On-site dining and retail options
Apartment Collection by Hilton will participate in Hilton Honors, allowing members to book, earn, and redeem points through Hilton’s direct channels, along with access to benefits such as member discounts and standard Wi-Fi.
