APPOINTMENT
The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace has announced the appointment of Somanath S. Biradar as Director of Engineering.
Somanath brings more than two decades of extensive experience across hospitality, facility management and large-scale engineering operations, having had senior engineering roles with renowned hospitality brands in India and globally across Portugal, Spain, and France with Muthu Hotels, where he managed operations, renovations, and new projects.
Somanth holds expertise in knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, chillers, boilers, energy management, and building safety systems.
Before this appointment, he served as Director of Engineering at The Westin Pune, following key positions at Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach, Renaissance Bengaluru Racecourse, and multiple Accor Hotels.
In his new role, Somanath will oversee all engineering and maintenance functions, with a focus on operational excellence, safety, sustainability, asset protection, and long-term infrastructure planning.
He has also been recognised with multiple industry recognitions, including Chief Engineer of the Year and Best Guest Service Award.
