AirAsia Launches Fixed Fare Initiatives for Lunar New Year and Hari Raya Travel
AirAsia has announced the launch of its annual fixed-fare initiatives to support affordable travel during the upcoming Lunar New Year and Hari Raya festive seasons. The initiatives are being introduced this year concurrently, covering two major travel periods.
During the Lunar New Year and Hari Raya seasons, AirAsia will operate an average of 1,578 flights, offering more than 31,000 seats at fixed fares to support increased travel demand during peak periods.
Loke Siew Fook, Minister of Transport, said that enabling Malaysians to return home affordably during festive seasons remains a key priority. He noted that AirAsia’s fixed fares initiatives align with government efforts to maintain accessible air travel, alongside programmes such as the RM400 FLYsiswa scheme, which supports student travel between Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia.
Fareh Mazputra, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia Malaysia, said the airline is starting the year with two festive travel periods by offering fixed fares for both Lunar New Year and Hari Raya. He added that the initiative is intended to help travellers plan ahead while supporting government efforts to manage high-demand travel periods.
