APPOINTMENT
Christian Maeder has been appointed as the new General Manager of Montage Big Sky.
With more than 25 years of global hospitality experience, Christian Maeder steps into the role after serving as the resort’s Hotel Manager since 2023.
In his previous position at Montage Big Sky, Christian played a key role in enhancing the resort’s service culture, refining management practices, and implementing new food & beverage initiatives. His leadership contributed significantly to elevating the overall guest experience and operational efficiency.
Before joining Montage Big Sky, he served as Hotel Manager at Montage Laguna Beach and held senior leadership roles at renowned properties such as The Maybourne Beverly Hills, Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara, The Setai Miami Beach, and Four Seasons Hotel New York. His extensive background also includes experience with Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas, Claridge’s in London, and The Peninsula New York-contributing to his well-rounded, international perspective.
A native of Switzerland, he holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the Swiss Hotel Management School Lucerne and has pursued additional studies in financial management at Cornell University.
