APPOINTMENT
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the appointment of Tamara Lohan as the interim Global Brand Leader for its luxury brands.
The announcement was made at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) event in Cannes. Tamara joined Hyatt in 2023 following the acquisition of Mr & Mrs Smith, a boutique and luxury hotel platform she co-founded.
In her new role, she will be responsible for guiding the global strategy for Hyatt’s luxury brands. Her focus will include enhancing brand consistency and improving guest experiences across the company’s luxury portfolio.
Hyatt has indicated that this leadership change aligns with its development strategy to expand its luxury offerings. The company has planned key luxury hotel openings for 2026, which it aims to deliver in key markets valued by its guests and owners.
Tamara brings experience in personalization and global luxury trends, gained during her tenure at Mr & Mrs Smith. Her expertise is expected to contribute to Hyatt’s strategic goals in the luxury segment.
The appointment is temporary as Hyatt continues to evaluate its leadership needs in the luxury category.
