British Airways to Introduce Starlink Wi-Fi Across Its Fleet from 2026
British Airways has announced plans to introduce Starlink satellite Wi-Fi across its fleet, with installations set to begin in 2026. Starlink utilizes a low-Earth orbit satellite network designed to provide stable and high-speed connectivity, including coverage in remote regions.
Once the rollout is complete, customers in all cabins will have complimentary access to the service for activities such as browsing, streaming, and staying connected during flights.
The introduction of Starlink is part of British Airways’ ongoing £7bn transformation programme, focused on gradual improvements across customer experience. Progress to date includes enhancements in operational performance, onboard service, lounge refurbishments, food and beverage offerings, and digital support tools.

Sean Doyle, British Airways’ Chairman and Chief Executive, said the agreement with Starlink reflects the airline’s continued focus on developing its product and service offering for customers across both short-haul and long-haul networks.
As part of the transformation programme, additional initiatives delivered or underway include:
New and refurbished lounges in several global locations
Introduction of new short-haul aircraft with updated cabin designs
Continued fleet renewal, including recent new aircraft deliveries
Use of AI and data analytics to support operational decision-making
Planned rollout of an updated First cabin and a new mobile app from 2026
