Rann Utsav Returns with Expanded Focus Including Dholavira
The Rann Utsav began on October 23 and will continue until March 4, 2026, introducing an expanded approach to how travellers experience Kutch. Organised by Eyak Ventures Pvt. Ltd. under its flagship brand Evoke Experiences, this year’s edition extends beyond the Rann of Kutch to include Dholavira, a UNESCO World Heritage Site representing the ancient Indus Valley civilisation.
The expansion aligns with the theme “Adhura Nahi Pura Kutch Dekhiye,” which encourages visitors to explore the broader region rather than limiting their journeys to the White Rann.

Evoke Experiences will continue to manage and operate Rann Utsav – The Tent City, while also promoting Dholavira through curated stays at the White Rann Tent City at Dholavira and the year-round Evoke Dholavira property. Travellers can combine the cultural experiences of Dhordo with the historical context of Dholavira for a more complete understanding of Kutch’s landscape and heritage.
The White Rann Tent City at Dholavira offers a variety of recreational activities for families and groups, including cricket, trampolines, bull rides, water rollers, archery, airgun shooting, and rope courses. These facilities aim to offer visitors a balance of exploration and leisure in one of Gujarat’s key archaeological areas.
Developed around a Harappan civilisation theme, the tent city features rooms and common spaces named after Indus Valley elements. Nearby attractions include the Fossil Park, the Harappan excavation site, a museum, and scenic desert routes such as the “Road through Heaven.” Additional offerings include a spa, bicycle rides, and stargazing sessions.
At Rann Utsav – The Tent City, new elements have been added to enhance visitor experience, including a toddler area for families and an open-air cinema. A sustainability stall showcases waste segregation and recycling initiatives, while storytelling sessions around bonfires highlight Kutch’s folklore and traditions.

Evoke Experiences has also introduced Mitram, a personalised service for Rann Utsav – The Tent City guests. Mitram provides end-to-end assistance during the stay, helping visitors plan activities and navigate the site more easily.

“Rann Utsav has always represented the stories, traditions, and heritage that define Kutch,” said Bhavik Sheth, Chief Operating Officer at Evoke Experiences.
“By including Dholavira under the theme ‘Adhura Nahi Pura Kutch Dekhiye,’ we aim to help travellers experience Kutch as a cohesive journey — from cultural expressions in Dhordo to archaeological discoveries in Dholavira.”
Sustainability remains a focus this season, with the introduction of eco-friendly tents, improved waste management systems, LED lighting, plastic crushers, and cleanliness drives across the festival area. These steps support responsible tourism practices within the White Rann ecosystem.

By expanding to Dholavira, Evoke Experiences seeks to create a more connected itinerary that integrates Kutch’s cultural, natural, and historical dimensions into a single travel experience.
