Emirates Marks Oktoberfest with Bavarian Cuisine and German Entertainment
Emirates will celebrate Oktoberfest from September 20 to October 5 on flights to and from Munich, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Frankfurt, as well as in its German airport lounges. During this festival period, passengers can enjoy traditional Bavarian dishes and German-themed entertainment.
Onboard menus will feature regional appetizers, main courses, and desserts across all cabins. In First Class, the options include poached Alaskan king crab, roasted pumpkin soup, chicken filled with mushrooms and served with bread dumplings, braised veal shank, Kaiserschmarren with plum compote, and apple strudel with crème anglaise. Additionally, a new Oktoberfest-style movie snack will be available, which consists of smoked turkey, beef salami, Obatzda cheese, Emmental cheese, cream cheese, hard-boiled egg, radish, cornichons, and pretzels.

Business Class will offer a variety of dishes, including duck liver terrine, braised beef short ribs, and veal shank served with red cabbage. For dessert, options will include baked cheesecake and apple strudel. In Economy Class, the appetizers will feature German potato salad, followed by a choice of chicken sausage rolls with onion jus or baked chicken with paprika cream. Desserts will include black forest cake with cherry compote. Additionally, customers departing from Dubai will receive gingerbread hearts decorated for Oktoberfest.
The A380 Onboard Lounge will serve Oktoberfest sandwiches, including cream cheese with chives, roasted beef with gherkins, Emmental with laugen bread, and pretzels. Pastries such as gingerbread cookies, black forest cake, plum cake and German-style cheesecake will also be available.
In Emirates lounges at Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Düsseldorf, guests can enjoy dishes including Käsepätzle with roasted onions, Obatzda with pretzels, Wurstsalat sausage salad, chicken sausages with sauerkraut, and chicken thighs with Bavarian potato salad, paired with Oktoberfest beer.
Onboard entertainment will feature 22 German films, over 350 Hollywood films dubbed in German, and 31 playlists and albums of German music.
Emirates will feature these Oktoberfest offerings on its triple-daily flights from Dubai to Frankfurt and double-daily flights to Munich, Düsseldorf and Hamburg.
