Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort Hosts 4th Annual Olive Harvest Festival, 24–28 Sept 2025

Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort has announced the return of its Olive Harvest Festival, taking place from September 24 to 28, 2025. Now in its fourth year, this five-day event invites both guests and the local community to explore the olive fruit on the Green Mountain.

The 2025 theme, “From Tree to Table – A Journey Through Olive Heritage”, includes hands-on harvesting, storytelling, olive oil tastings, and culinary experiences with guest chefs. Italian Chef Riccardo Passoni from NH Collection Milano President and Spanish Chef Martin Aristondo from NH Collection San Sebastian Aranzazu will lead exclusive dinners and cooking classes.

The festival opens on Wednesday, 24 September, with a Welcome Ceremony on the Al Shurfa terrace, featuring mountain-inspired drinks infused with local olives, herbs, and citrus, followed by an Italian and Spanish buffet at Al Maisan.

Other highlights include “Olive Tales at Breakfast” with olive historian Giorgio Robles, daily harvest competitions, and Olive Heritage Tours with Dr. Ali Al Furqani, including tastings and a visit to a nearby olive oil press factory.

Thursday features an Italian cooking class with Chef Passoni and an outdoor Spanish garden dinner with Chef Aristondo. Friday includes a Spanish tapas class and a Canyon View Dinner at Bella Vista with an Italian menu. Saturday’s Olive Market Day on Bella Vista Terrace offers artisanal stalls, pop-up classes, and tastings. The festival concludes Sunday, 28 September, with a Spanish and Italian breakfast at Al Maisan, featuring regional dishes and olive oil tastings.

“The Olive Harvest Festival is a tribute to the fertile land we have in Jabal Al Akhdar but also the people and traditions that shape this region,” says General Manager Maren Kuehl, adding, “We are proud to host an event that connects guests to the richness of local culture and the universal joy of sharing a meal crafted with care.”

Perched 2,000 metres above sea level, Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort sits among canyons and terraced orchards, combining contemporary Omani design with Anantara’s hospitality. The festival provides guests with an opportunity to experience the olive harvest and explore local culinary traditions.
