Vijit Chao Phraya 2025 Opens with “Light of Siam – Mother of the Land” Theme
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), together with public and private sector partners, has launched Vijit Chao Phraya 2025 along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. Held under the theme “Light of Siam – Mother of the Land”, the event pays tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.
The opening ceremony on 9 November was presided over by Mr. Artthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports. The 45-day programme features light installations and cultural performances at 15 riverside locations, running daily from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. until 23 December.

The initiative aims to support tourism, encourage local spending, and highlight Bangkok’s riverside as a cultural and creative destination. Showcases include illuminated bridges, multimedia water displays, drone formations, and art installations across key landmarks such as Rama VIII Bridge, Wat Arun, ICONSIAM, and Memorial Bridge.

All shows are free and open to the public. Updates are available via Vijit Chao Phraya 2025 on Facebook and www.thailandfestival.org.
