Sri Lanka Promotes Tourism at Amazing Asia Festival 2025 in Brussels

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Belgium, together with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, took part in the Amazing Asia Festival 2025 in Brussels for the second year. The event was held from 15–17 August at Tour & Taxis and welcomed more than 12,000 visitors.

The Sri Lanka pavilion highlighted the country’s tourism offerings through banners, videos, brochures, maps, handicrafts, and products from small and medium-scale industries. Visitors were also served Ceylon tea. Embassy staff engaged with guests throughout the three days, sharing information about travel opportunities in Sri Lanka.

Ms. Thavishya Mullegamgoda, Minister (Commercial) of the Embassy, led presentations on Sri Lanka’s traditional and emerging tourism experiences. The pavilion drew strong interest from families, cultural and nature travelers, and adventure enthusiasts. Many repeat visitors also shared their experiences and interest in returning.

The festival provided a platform to promote Sri Lanka in Brussels and across Belgium, reaching a multicultural audience that included expatriates and international residents. Social media engagement further extended the country’s visibility during the event.
