Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort Opens in South Florida

Signia by Hilton Expands with Diplomat Beach Resort Transformation

The Diplomat Beach Resort has reopened as the Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort, marking a new phase for the coastal property and its integration into the Signia by Hilton portfolio. The transition reflects the brand’s growing presence in key destinations and introduces updated guest experiences, dining concepts, wellness facilities, and event spaces in South Florida.

Originally opened in 1958, the resort now features 1,000 rooms alongside redesigned public areas. Following its acquisition by Trinity Investments in 2023, an $80 million redevelopment has focused on upgrading shared spaces and dining venues while maintaining its role as a venue for meetings and events.

Chris Nassetta, President and CEO of Hilton, noted that the reopening reflects the company’s continued expansion in resort and gateway destinations, with an emphasis on design, dining, and guest-focused experiences.

Updated Design and Outdoor Spaces

The redesigned lobby now serves as a central social space, combining natural light, greenery, and flexible seating arrangements suited to both work and leisure. The layout supports a mix of informal meetings, dining, and relaxation.

Outdoor areas have also been reconfigured under “The Verandah”, an oceanfront space that includes multiple pools, cabanas, and an adults-only social area. A new lawn space has been introduced for events and activities, while the resort continues to offer direct beach access along its shoreline.

Dining Concepts Across the Resort

The resort has introduced six updated dining venues, creating a connected experience throughout the day. The culinary programme is led by director Miguel Santiago, with a focus on varied cuisines and formats.

Palmea Kitchen offers Mediterranean-style breakfast options in a casual setting. The Press provides coffee, juices, and pastries for quick dining. Playa serves Latin-inspired dishes in a beachfront setting. Solara functions as a lounge space with small plates and drinks. Diplomat Prime presents a steakhouse concept focused on preparation and presentation. These outlets are designed to attract both hotel guests and local visitors.

Club Signia and Guest Experience

A new addition to the property is Club Signia, located on the hotel’s upper floors. The space includes lounge areas, dining services, and personalised guest support for those staying in select room categories or holding Hilton Honors Diamond Reserve status.

The club offers a quieter environment, curated food and beverage service throughout the day, and priority access to hotel amenities.

Events, Wellness and Location

The resort continues to operate as a large-scale meetings and events venue, offering over 200,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, including ballrooms and breakout rooms for conferences and social gatherings.

Wellness facilities include the Diplomat Spa and a range of recreational activities, including water sports, fitness sessions, and beach programmes.

Located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, the property provides access to two international airports while remaining connected to South Florida’s coastal environment.

A Continued Expansion for the Brand

The Signia by Hilton reopening adds to the existing Signia by Hilton portfolio, which includes properties in Atlanta, Orlando, San Antonio, San Jose, and Amman. Further developments are planned in destinations such as Jaipur, Cairo, and Tainan as the brand continues its expansion.
