Dr. Sonali Dutta Baanerjee Appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at ECKO Hotels & Resorts

ECKO Hotels & Resorts has appointed Dr. Sonali Dutta Baanerjee as Chief Human Resources Officer.

In her new role, she will be responsible for developing the company’s human resources framework across both corporate and property-level operations. The appointment comes as the hospitality group continues its expansion, with 12 operational hotels and additional properties in the pipeline. She will work closely with Founder Perkin Rocha on organisational and talent-related initiatives.

Dr. Baanerjee brings over three decades of experience in human capital development, organisational transformation, and executive coaching. She is a Certified ICF Executive Coach and has worked across a range of sectors, including hospitality, pharmaceuticals, aviation, healthcare, and BFSI. Her experience includes scaling teams and designing leadership development programs.

Prior to joining ECKO Hotels & Resorts, she was associated with TripFactory.com as Chief Human Resources Officer. Her previous roles also include Strategic Consultant at Syngene International Limited and leadership positions at companies such as HGS – Hinduja Global Solutions, Infosys BPO, and Hewlett-Packard.

She has also been involved in consulting and coaching assignments through Success Studios, where she worked on leadership development, organisational capability building, and training interventions for corporate and public sector clients.

Her appointment is aligned with ECKO Hotels & Resorts’ focus on strengthening its people and organisational development functions as part of its growth plans.
