Qatar Airways Announces New Hail Route and Additional Flights in Saudi Arabia

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer announced an expansion of the airline’s operations in Saudi Arabia during the “Tourism Rising: A New Era of Influence and Impact” panel at the TOURISE Summit 2025 in Riyadh.

Beginning 5 January 2026, Qatar Airways will launch three weekly flights to Hail (HAS), becoming the 13th city served by the airline in the Kingdom. The airline will also increase daily flight frequencies to Jeddah (JED) and Riyadh (RUH), adding to its network capacity across key travel hubs.

Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer stated that the airline’s network now covers major regions of Saudi Arabia, and that this expansion reflects continued demand for connectivity across business, leisure, and religious travel segments.

Earlier this year, Qatar Airways resumed flights to Abha and launched services to The Red Sea. With the addition of Hail, the airline’s operations in Saudi Arabia will grow to more than 150 weekly flights, connecting travelers through Doha to over 170 destinations.
