Oaga Art Resort Unveils Refreshed Guest Experience

Oaga Art Resort Maldives will reopen on 1 August 2026 following a brief operational pause, introducing refreshed accommodation, dining venues and guest facilities while continuing its focus on Maldivian art, culture and hospitality.

The reopening marks the first phase of the resort’s redevelopment, with updates across villas, restaurants, wellness facilities and social spaces.

Refreshed Villas

The resort’s Haruge and Bodu Haruge villas have been updated with redesigned interiors to improve guest comfort and functionality. The enhancements include expanded lounge areas, dedicated vanity spaces and updated furnishings designed for longer and more comfortable stays.

Kaa Kada Restaurant Expanded

Kaa Kada, the resort’s main restaurant, has been expanded with larger indoor and outdoor dining areas, a redesigned buffet and a new bar.

The dining experience now includes dedicated stations serving Asian, Mediterranean, vegetarian, grilled and seafood dishes, alongside a selection of Maldivian cuisine. Dhan Kada has also returned, offering late-night dining from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

The restaurant has also added private dining areas and improved guest facilities.

Raa Baa Receives New Social Spaces

The resort has expanded Raa Baa, its main social venue, with a larger indoor lounge, additional seating and a new performance stage for live music, cultural events and community gatherings.

The swimming pool has also been refreshed, while upgraded guest facilities include dedicated washrooms for day visitors.

New Italian Restaurant Opens

Oaga Art Resort has introduced La’ Fuh Dan, an Italian restaurant located by the beach.

The menu combines Italian cuisine with locally sourced Maldivian ingredients. A nearby van bar offers cocktails and refreshments for guests enjoying sunset views.

More Resort Facilities Updated

Several other areas across the island have also been upgraded. The Hoara X-Centre now offers larger spaces for excursions, while Fiyoh Kids Club and Ollie’s Farm have been refreshed for families.

Hoba Spa has introduced an updated treatment menu inspired by Maldivian wellness traditions and natural rhythms.

More Developments Planned

Later this year, Oaga Art Resort plans to introduce a collection of new overwater villas, including a new villa category on the island’s sunrise side.

Located in North Malé Atoll, around 45 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport, Oaga Art Resort currently offers 60 beach and overwater villas, all-inclusive dining experiences, wellness facilities and activities centred on Maldivian art and culture.

The resort will welcome guests from 1 August 2026, with additional developments expected to be announced in the coming months.
