Welcomhotel Rajgir Expands ITC Hotels’ Presence in Bihar

ITC Hotels Limited has signed a management agreement for Welcomhotel Rajgir, expanding its presence in Bihar. The agreement was announced in the presence of Shri Samrat Choudhary, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar, and Anil Chadha, Managing Director, ITC Hotels Limited.

The hotel will be developed under a long-term partnership between the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation and Kalsi Buildcon Private Limited, with the aim of supporting tourism development in the state.

Spread across 2.67 acres, Welcomhotel Rajgir will feature 107 guest rooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, around 5,000 square feet of indoor banquet space and more than 12,000 square feet of landscaped outdoor lawns. The property is designed to host weddings, conferences, meetings and social events.

Commenting on the signing, Anil Chadha, Managing Director, ITC Hotels Limited, said Bihar is home to several important cultural and spiritual destinations, and the company sees continued opportunities for hospitality growth in the state. He added that the project supports ITC Hotels’ plans to expand in destinations with increasing demand for heritage, cultural and experiential travel.

Sumeet Singh Kalsi, Director, Kalsi Buildcon Private Limited, said the partnership with ITC Hotels will bring the Welcomhotel brand to Rajgir, creating a hotel that reflects the region’s heritage while meeting the needs of today’s travellers.

The signing follows the recent announcement of a new ITC Patna hotel and the opening of Welcomhotel Bodhgaya Hotel & Convention Centre, further strengthening the company’s presence across Bihar.

ITC Hotels said it will continue expanding the Welcomhotel brand in emerging destinations where demand for leisure, heritage and spiritual tourism is growing.
