IHG Signs Crowne Plaza Resort in Sohna, Gurgaon NCR

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Harisons Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd. to develop Crowne Plaza Resort Gurgaon Sohna near Palwal in the National Capital Region. The property is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2029, further expanding IHG’s presence in India.

Resort to cater to weddings, leisure and corporate demand

The upcoming resort will be located within about a 70-minute drive from Delhi International Airport. It is expected to serve demand for weddings and social events in the NCR region, along with weekend leisure stays and corporate off-sites.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said Sohna is emerging as a key location driven by social event demand and growing business activity. He noted that the project aligns with the Crowne Plaza brand’s positioning in these markets.

Representatives from Harisons Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd. added that the partnership reflects a shared plan to develop a hospitality project in the region, supported by IHG’s brand and operational systems.

Hotel features and brand expansion in India

Once operational, Crowne Plaza Resort Gurgaon Sohna will offer 150 rooms designed for both business and leisure travellers. The property will include multiple dining options such as a lobby lounge, all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant and bar.

The resort will also feature meeting and event spaces, along with facilities such as a health club, spa, swimming pool and indoor and outdoor recreational areas.

The signing contributes to the expansion of the Crowne Plaza brand in South West Asia and reflects IHG’s focus on growing its presence in India.

IHG currently operates 51 hotels across six brands in India and has a pipeline of 89 additional hotels expected to open over the next three to five years.
