Garner Hotel to Mark IHG Hotels’ Entry into Chhattisgarh

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise agreement for Garner Jagdalpur, marking the company’s entry into Chhattisgarh. The 117-key hotel will be developed by Freedom Hospitality and managed by United Hospitality Management (UHM), one of IHG’s third-party management partners in India.

Located in Jagdalpur in the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, the hotel is scheduled to open in 2029. The property is expected to cater to rising accommodation demand driven by the region’s economic and infrastructure development.

Sudeep Jain

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the signing reflects Garner’s expansion into emerging Indian markets. He added that Jagdalpur presents opportunities for organised hospitality development as infrastructure investment and economic activity continue in the Bastar region.

Jain also noted that Garner’s operating model, along with UHM’s management experience, would support the hotel’s long-term development in the market.
