IHG Hotels & Resorts to Open Crowne Plaza in Multan, Pakistan

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise agreement with Serene Tower (PVT) Ltd. to introduce the Crowne Plaza brand in DHA Multan, Pakistan. Scheduled to open in early 2028, Crowne Plaza Multan will be the brand’s first hotel in the city.

Located within the DHA Multan community, home to residential and commercial developments and a PGA-approved golf course, the 200-key hotel will form part of the Serene Tower development. Positioned along Bosan and Mattital Roads, the property will offer convenient access across the Punjab region, catering to corporate travellers, MICE events, and visitors drawn by the city’s growing golf, education, and healthcare sectors.

Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, IHG Hotels & Resorts – India, Middle East & Africa, said that the signing reflects the company’s continued focus on expanding its presence in key regional markets.

Tahir Nawaz, Chairman of the Nawaz Group of Companies (which owns Serene Tower PVT Ltd.), stated that the collaboration with IHG aligns with their vision to introduce new hospitality developments to Multan and contribute to the city’s evolving urban landscape.

The hotel will feature contemporary guest rooms, dining venues, meeting spaces, a fitness centre, and a swimming pool. The signing marks another step in IHG’s regional growth strategy, with Crowne Plaza Multan joining a global portfolio of more than 415 open hotels and nearly 150 in the pipeline.
