Emirates Flight Catering Prepares to Serve 300,000 Meals at Dubai Airshow 2025

When the Dubai Airshow opens on 17 November, Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC) will play a key role behind the scenes, managing a large-scale culinary operation designed to deliver consistency, efficiency, and variety.

As the official caterer for Dubai Airshow 2025, EKFC is preparing to serve more than 300,000 meals to aviation and aerospace professionals, government officials, delegates, and visitors from nearly 100 countries.

The operation involves setting up two full-scale central kitchens, deploying approximately 2,600 team members, and providing catering for over 150 chalets, pavilions, and exhibition stands. Over 35,000 meals have already been pre-booked, and 74 interns from leading hospitality institutions have joined the team to support the effort.

Shahreyar Nawabi, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Flight Catering, said: “At Dubai Airshow 2025, our goal is to demonstrate how airline catering expertise can be adapted to large-scale event operations. Our diverse team enables us to offer a wide range of cuisines while ensuring cultural and culinary authenticity.”

Two central kitchens have been built on-site, located between the exhibition area and the chalets, featuring cold rooms, storage zones, and power support for smooth operations. Supporting facilities for staff, including canteens, welfare areas, and rest spaces, have also been constructed.

EKFC’s logistics between its Dubai World Central facility and the Airshow site are fully integrated, supported by airside access and streamlined transport routes.

The catering experience will reflect global flavours, with menu options ranging from Middle Eastern and Indian dishes to European and East Asian selections. EKFC is partnering with brands such as Origami, Onda, Yann Couvreur, Dibba Oyster Bar, and Bustanica to offer distinct dining experiences across the venue.

Additionally, Emirates Leisure Retail will operate Costa Coffee outlets and a food truck village at SkyView.

EKFC has implemented waste management initiatives that include eliminating plastic bottles, using recyclable glass containers, and donating or composting leftover food in coordination with Dubai Municipality.
