IHCL Signs Tree of Life Resort Project in Maharashtra

Indian Hotels Company Limited has announced the signing of a new Tree of Life Resort in Kamshet, marking the brand’s entry into the growing leisure destination in western India.

The project will involve renovating the existing property and expanding the room inventory to strengthen the overall guest experience under the Tree of Life brand.

Suma Venkatesh said the Kamshet–Lonavala–Pawna corridor continues to witness steady demand across leisure travel, social gatherings, and corporate events, driven by its accessibility from Mumbai and Pune. She added that the project aligns with Tree of Life’s focus on experience-led stays connected with nature and local surroundings.

The upcoming 30-key resort will offer views of the Sahyadri hills and include facilities such as an all-day dining restaurant, bar, swimming pool, outdoor spa, amphitheatre, lawns, and event spaces designed for social and corporate gatherings.

The IHCL property also plans to introduce curated guest experiences, including organic farming activities, wine- and jam-making sessions, and lakeside dining.

Project partner Kalyan Borade said the collaboration with IHCL reflects a shared vision for developing hospitality experiences in Kamshet.

Located in the Western Ghats region, Kamshet is known for adventure tourism and outdoor activities, particularly paragliding. Visitors to the area also explore nearby attractions, including Pawna Lake, Bedse Caves and Kondeshwar Temple.
