IHCL Expands Portfolio with 46 Signings and 26 Openings in H1 FY2026

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) continues its growth momentum in the first half of FY2026, with 46 new signings and 26 hotel openings, including 14 additions through marketing and distribution partnerships with Brij Hospitality and Clarks Group of Hotels.

Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said: “A significant portion of the 46 signings were across our Gateway, Tree of Life, and Ginger brands, reflecting growth in the mid-scale to upscale segment. This momentum was supported by multi-hotel framework agreements with the Ambuja Neotia group for Taj, SeleQtions, and Tree of Life brands, and with Madison for the Ginger brand in South India.”

 

IHCL signed Taj hotels in locations such as Darjeeling, ECR Chennai, Pondicherry, Mohali, and Kruger National Park, South Africa, aligning with its goal of a 700-hotel portfolio under the Accelerate 2030 strategy.

New openings and market expansion

Ms. Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President – Hotel Openings & New Businesses, IHCL, added: “In H1 FY2026, we opened 12 hotels and on-boarded 14 more. New locations include Taj hotels in Alibaug and Raichak, two SeleQtions resorts in Lakshadweep, and a Vivanta in Thane. We also expanded in existing markets with Taj Lalit Bagh in Udaipur, a Gateway in Coorg and Ahmedabad, a second SeleQtions in Haridwar, and a Ginger in Dehradun. With these additions, IHCL now operates over 250 hotels in India with 25,500 rooms.”
