Chalet Hotels Launches ATHIVA Hotels & Resorts with Six Properties

Chalet Hotels Limited (CHL) has announced the launch of ATHIVA Hotels & Resorts, a new premium lifestyle hospitality brand that will feature over 900 rooms across six hotels. The name ATHIVA comes from the Sanskrit word meaning “abundance” and “to a great extent.” This brand emphasizes joy, sustainability, and wellness, and aims to combine exceptional hospitality with meaningful experiences.

The first property under the brand is ATHIVA Resort & Spa, Khandala, created through the transformation of The Dukes Retreat. The resort has 147 rooms, including 11 suites, and emphasizes local experiences and sustainable practices.

Five additional properties will transition to ATHIVA over time. These include a renovated business hotel in Navi Mumbai, The Resort at Aksa Beach (a K Raheja Corp Group hotel), and three greenfield projects under development—two in Goa and one in Thiruvananthapuram. CHL plans to double the brand’s capacity within three years.

ATHIVA is designed to cater to the changing preferences of travelers. It offers features such as Breakfast Anytime, complimentary Binge Box snacks, and surprise treats known as Dollops of Joy, along with Local Immersions that encourage cultural engagement. Each property will adopt energy-efficient designs, waste-conscious operations, local sourcing, and community partnerships as part of Chalet’s Parivartan initiative.
