IHCL Expands Portfolio to 615 Hotels with 360 in Operation and 255 in Pipeline
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has continued to expand its portfolio, now comprising 615 hotels, including 360 operational properties and a pipeline of 255 across multiple brands and geographies.

Commenting on the development, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said the company has progressed in line with its Accelerate 2030 strategy. She noted that IHCL recently acquired a controlling stake in Atmantan, marking its entry into the integrated wellness segment, and entered into definitive agreements to acquire a 51% stake in Brij, a boutique experiential leisure brand.
She added that during the third quarter, key signings included the Taj brand expanding its presence in Bengaluru and the National Capital Region, strengthening its footprint in Sri Lanka, and debuting in Egypt. Other brands such as Gateway, Tree of Life, and Ginger recorded signings in destinations including Bengaluru, Panheli, Nashik, Gurugram, and Ahmedabad.

Providing an update on openings, Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President – Hotel Openings & New Businesses, IHCL, said recent launches reflected the breadth of the company’s brand portfolio. These included Taj hotels in Paro and Phobjika in Bhutan; SeleQtions properties in Mandawa, Nadiad, and Varanasi; Brij in Bandhavgarh; Tree of Life in Sariska; Vivanta in Aluva, Cochin; and Vivanta and Ginger in Ekta Nagar, along with Ginger hotels in Ahmedabad and Gurugram.
With these additions, IHCL’s operational portfolio now stands at 360 hotels with an inventory of over 32,000 rooms. The company said it remains on track to achieve its target of a 700-hotel portfolio under its Accelerate 2030 growth strategy.
