Emirates has introduced its Travel Rehearsal programme in the UK, with the first session held at London Stansted Airport. The initiative is designed to support individuals with accessibility requirements by providing a guided simulation of the airport and flight experience.
The programme allows participants to go through each stage of the travel journey, including check-in, security, departure processes and arrival procedures. The aim is to help individuals become familiar with the environment before travelling, reducing uncertainty and improving confidence.
The first session in the UK was conducted in collaboration with St Elizabeth’s Centre, where students on the autism spectrum and their families experienced the journey with support from airline and airport staff.

The Travel Rehearsal programme is part of Emirates’ broader focus on accessible travel. The airline has trained thousands of employees in autism awareness to better support passengers with different needs.
Since April 2025, similar sessions have been conducted across multiple global locations, including cities in Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. These sessions aim to create a more predictable travel experience and support passengers who may require additional assistance.

The UK rollout reflects continued collaboration between airlines, airports and local organisations to improve accessibility and make air travel more inclusive for a wider range of passengers.
