Delta Reaches 1,000 Aircraft Equipped with Delta Sync Wi-Fi and Enhanced Seatback Entertainment
Delta has reached a new milestone, with fast, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi now available on more than 1,000 aircraft. SkyMiles Members can access the service as part of the airline’s efforts to offer a more connected and personalized onboard experience.
Delta continues to expand its connected-cabin strategy, noting that it now operates more Wi-Fi-equipped aircraft than any other U.S. airline. This connectivity forms the foundation for Delta Sync — the platform that enables personalised entertainment, curated offers, and digital experiences during flight.
Through Delta Sync Wi-Fi, SkyMiles Members can access exclusive content, partner offers and travel inspiration. Delta Sync seatback enhances the seatback screen to function more like a personal smart TV, with tailored recommendations based on guest preferences.
Recent updates include adding partners such as YouTube and Crunchyroll, alongside existing options like Paramount+. These integrations, combined with Delta Sync Wi-Fi, provide a broader range of in-flight entertainment and post-flight offers.
“Delta’s focus on delivering connectivity for every customer has shaped how we approach the onboard experience,” said Ranjan Goswami, Senior Vice President, Customer Experience Design.
“Delta Sync enables us to offer personalised content and digital features throughout the journey.”
Delta Sync continues to expand with new features set to roll out across more aircraft in the coming months.
New Features
Kids Map
Delta is introducing Kids Map on select seatback screens. Designed for younger travellers, the feature includes illustrations, interactive games and quizzes that make the in-flight map more engaging for children. Progress badges and characters encourage exploration throughout the journey.
Destination Stories
Launching early next year, Destination Stories will transform seatback screens into a story-led travel guide. Customers will be able to explore attractions, discover local activities, view exclusive offers and learn about their destination before landing.
More Personalized Seatback Experiences
Delta Sync seatback will expand to the Boeing 737-900 fleet, allowing personalised seatback functionality on legacy hardware. Rollout begins early next year. The platform is currently available on more than 300 aircraft across six fleet types, representing 45% of IFE-enabled flights.
Further expansion across the Boeing 737-800, 767-300 and A350-900 fleets will continue through 2026. Recognised SkyMiles Members can already enjoy features such as personalised greetings and tailored content by entering their birthdate.
Interactive Food and Beverage Menus
Customers flying in domestic Delta One and Delta First can now browse digital food and beverage menus on their seatback screens. Menus display options by route and time of day, helping travellers make selections that align with dietary needs. More routes and cabins will receive this feature in 2026.
Delta notes that its continued rollout of fast, free Wi-Fi and Delta Sync reflects an ongoing strategy to modernise the onboard environment and deliver a more consistent digital experience across the fleet.

“Building this platform required rethinking in-flight connectivity,” said Glenn Latta, Managing Director, In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity.
“Delta Sync supports both current needs and future digital enhancements.”
This milestone marks a key step in Delta’s multi-year plan to expand connected services and digital capabilities across its domestic and international network.
