Shannon Gilbert Appointed as New General Manager at The Resort at Pelican Hill

APPOINTMENT

Shannon Gilbert has been appointed as General Manager at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California.

In this role, Gilbert is responsible for leading the property as it prepares for its transition into a St. Regis hotel. Her responsibilities include maintaining operational standards and guiding the resort’s brand direction during this period of change.

Gilbert brings more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Her professional background includes leadership roles in sales, marketing, and operations across multiple properties within The Ritz-Carlton and Marriott portfolios. She has been involved in major projects such as the openings of The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay and The Ritz-Carlton, Denver, as well as the repositioning of The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel.

Previously, she served as Hotel Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles and JW Marriott Los Angeles, L.A. LIVE, where she worked in large-scale, high-activity hotel environments. Her experience includes managing hotel operations and leading teams in complex operational settings.

Gilbert is part of the senior leadership team at the resort and is one of four women on the executive team. She also serves on the boards of Visit Greater Palm Springs and California State University San Bernardino, Palm Desert Campus.
