ATM 2026 to Explore Innovation and Technology Shaping the Future of Travel

ATM 2026 to Explore Innovation and Technology Shaping the Future of Travel Press Note: Arabian Travel Market (ATM) has announced the theme for its 2026 edition: “Travel 2040: Driving New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology.” Taking place from 4–7 May 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), ATM 2026 will examine the forces reshaping tourism and highlight how innovation is influencing every stage of the traveller’s journey. Research from the World Economic Forum projects that by 2034, the travel and tourism sector will contribute $16 trillion to global GDP and support 30 billion tourist visits. Alongside this growth, technologies such as AI-driven personalisation, immersive digital experiences, green aviation, and smart mobility are expected to redefine how people travel. ATM 2026 will provide a platform for the travel community to explore new opportunities, adopt emerging technologies, and address the industry’s shift towards resilience, sustainability, and inclusion. Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME, Arabian Travel Market, said: “The coming decade will be significant for the travel and tourism industry. Climate change, digital transformation, and changing consumer expectations are creating both challenges and opportunities. ATM 2026 will demonstrate how innovation can improve travel experiences, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth, while supporting the Middle East’s position in this global shift.” ATM’s focus on innovation reflects regional market momentum. According to the ATM Travel Trends Report 2025, Middle East travel spending is forecast to exceed US$350 billion by 2030, with inbound travel growing at almost twice the global rate. Rising demand for business events, luxury offerings, and transformative travel is positioning the region as a hub for the future of tourism. Building on this trend, ATM 2026 will feature dedicated show verticals: ATM Travel Tech will debut as a co-located show, with halls showcasing AI trip planning, immersive experiences, fintech, big data, cybersecurity, and smart mobility solutions. Its Tech & Innovation Zone will feature robotics, AR/VR, green technology, and more, anchored by the Future Stage for talks and presentations. IBTM @ ATM will return in 2026, connecting the meetings and events sector with regional stakeholders, including venues, destination bureaus, and suppliers. ATM Ultra Luxury Lounge will provide a setting for discussions between luxury brands and high-net-worth travellers, covering hospitality, aviation, yachting, and bespoke experiences. “Each vertical highlights areas where innovation and investment are influencing the structure of global travel. ATM 2026 offers focused spaces for stakeholders to connect, collaborate, and plan for the years leading to 2040,” Curtis added. With over 55,000 professionals from 166 countries attending ATM 2025, the upcoming edition will continue to convene policymakers, business leaders, and innovators to exchange insights and present solutions for the industry’s future.
