Akasa Air Expands into Southeast Asia with Phuket as 6th International Destination

Akasa Air has announced the addition of Phuket as its sixth international destination. Beginning on September 20, 2025, the airline will operate daily direct flights connecting Mumbai and Phuket. This launch marks Akasa’s entry into Southeast Asia and enhances the connectivity between two of the world’s most high-growth regions. Bookings for flights are now available on Akasa Air’s website, as well as on its Android and iOS apps and through various leading online travel agencies (OTAs).

Phuket is a popular vacation destination that attracts travellers from across the country. This expansion will strengthen existing trade ties between India and Thailand, while also providing greater accessibility for tourists seeking world-class beach experiences, vibrant culture, and the opportunity to enjoy unique culinary delights. The new routes offer convenient morning and evening departures and arrivals in India, ensuring maximum flexibility for travellers.
