Air India Signs Codeshare Agreement with airBaltic to Expand Baltic Connectivity
Air India has announced a new unilateral codeshare partnership with airBaltic, improving access to Latvia and the wider Baltic region for its customers. The agreement builds on the interline collaboration between the two airlines, established in June 2025.
Under the codeshare arrangement, Air India has placed its ‘AI’ designator code on airBaltic-operated flights between Riga and several European cities served by Air India. These include Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Milan Malpensa, Vienna, Zurich, and London Gatwick. The arrangement allows passengers to travel between India and Riga via these European gateways on a single Air India ticket, with onward flights to Riga carrying the Air India code.
In addition, the existing interline partnership between Air India and airBaltic enables travel to Tallinn in Estonia and Vilnius in Lithuania via select European gateways, extending coverage across the Baltic region.

Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer of Air India, said the expanded partnership aims to improve connectivity for customers and make travel to Latvia and neighbouring Baltic markets more accessible through coordinated schedules and ticketing.
Air India currently operates nonstop services from Delhi to Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Milan, Vienna, and Zurich, and from Mumbai to Frankfurt. The airline also operates flights from Amritsar and Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, with onward connections available under the codeshare agreement.
Since its privatization in 2022, Air India has continued to expand its global network through partnerships. The airline now maintains 24 codeshare agreements and close to 100 interline partnerships, offering customers access to more than 800 destinations worldwide.
Flights covered under the new codeshare agreement are available for booking through Air India, airBaltic, and authorised travel agents.
