Accor Signs Novotel Vrindavan, Scheduled to Open in 2029

Accor has announced the signing of Novotel Vrindavan, marking its expansion in North India and entry into one of the country’s prominent spiritual destinations. The 150-key hotel is scheduled to open in 2029 and will be managed by Accor.

Planned as a new-build development, Novotel Vrindavan will span 6,222 square metres, with a total gross floor area of approximately 14,000 square metres. The property is designed to cater to a mix of pilgrimage tourism, destination weddings, and large-scale social and corporate events.

The hotel will feature a 1,000-square-metre ballroom, multiple meeting rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby lounge and bar, and a speciality restaurant. Additional amenities will include a fitness centre, spa facilities, and a swimming pool, supporting both leisure and business travellers.

Ranju Alex, Chief Executive Officer, Accor South Asia, said that Vrindavan’s cultural and spiritual importance make it a strategic location for the Novotel brand. He added that the signing aligns with Accor’s plans to expand across high-growth destinations in India, with the property intended to meet the needs of modern travellers while supporting meetings and events demand.

The hotel is being developed by Girijas Retreat Private Limited. Shobhit Kumar Arora, Director at Girijas Retreat Private Limited, said the partnership with Accor aims to address the increasing requirement for professionally managed hospitality infrastructure in Vrindavan, as the destination continues to attract a broader mix of visitors beyond pilgrimage travel.

The signing of Novotel Vrindavan reflects Accor’s continued focus on expanding its presence in emerging and culturally significant destinations across India.
