Airports of Thailand Increases International Passenger Service Charge

Airports of Thailand Updates Passenger Charges from June 2026

Airports of Thailand (AOT) will increase the Passenger Service Charge (PSC) for international departing passengers from 730 Baht to 1,120 Baht per person from 20 June 2026.

The revised charge will apply to both Thai and international travellers departing on international flights from all six airports managed by AOT. These include Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang International Airport, Chiang Mai International Airport, Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai International Airport, Phuket International Airport and Hat Yai International Airport.

The domestic Passenger Service Charge will remain unchanged at 130 Baht per person.

According to AOT, the revised PSC will continue to be included within the airfare at the time of ticket purchase, meaning passengers will not be required to make additional payments at the airport.

Tickets issued from 20 June 2026 onwards will reflect the updated charge, while tickets purchased before the implementation date will not be affected.

AOT stated that the increase will support airport operations, infrastructure upgrades, passenger facility improvements and technology development across its airport network. Planned projects include airport expansion works, automated service systems and operational improvements aimed at reducing waiting times and improving passenger flow.

The airport operator added that the additional revenue will contribute towards long-term airport capacity development as international travel demand continues to increase.

Passengers seeking further clarification regarding ticket pricing have been advised to contact their airline or travel booking agent directly.
