Hale Hōkūala Kaua‘i Opens Reservations for October 2026

Hale Hōkūala Kaua‘i Brings Curio Collection by Hilton to Hawai‘i
Hale Hōkūala Kaua‘i, Curio Collection by Hilton, has opened reservations for stays beginning 1 October 2026, marking the arrival of the Curio Collection by Hilton brand in Hawai‘i.
Located on Kaua‘i, often referred to as the “Garden Island”, the new lifestyle resort is set within the Hōkūala Resort community near Līhuʻe. The property has been designed to reflect the island’s natural surroundings, cultural heritage and relaxed way of life while offering guests a base from which to explore the destination.

According to Jon Itoga, General Manager of Hale Hōkūala Kaua‘i, the resort has been developed to provide visitors with an experience rooted in Hawaiian hospitality and local culture, while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding environment.
Situated between the Pacific Ocean, Nāwiliwili Bay and the slopes of Hāʻupu Mountain, the resort will offer views across Kaua‘i’s coastal and inland landscapes. The architecture, designed by Hart Howerton in collaboration with AHL, and interiors by Looney & Associates, draw inspiration from traditional Hawaiian bungalows, featuring open-air spaces, generous balconies and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor environments.

The name Hale Hōkūala, which translates to “House of the Rising Star”, is reflected throughout the design, with landscaped pathways winding through mature banyan and monkeypod trees alongside native Hawaiian flora.
The resort will feature 210 guestrooms, including 23 suites. Each accommodation has been designed with private balconies to maximise natural light, fresh air and views of the surrounding landscape. Interiors incorporate colours and textures inspired by Kaua‘i’s beaches, mountains, vegetation and ocean, complemented by contemporary furnishings and spacious bathrooms.

Guests will have access to a range of leisure and recreational facilities within the Hōkūala Resort community. These include the Ocean Course at Hōkūala, a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, as well as walking trails, cycling routes and The Farm at Hōkūala, which supports the cultivation and preservation of traditional Hawaiian canoe plants.
Dining experiences will include a signature restaurant inspired by Portuguese and Hawaiian culinary traditions, as well as casual food and beverage offerings throughout the resort. Additional facilities include an outdoor swimming pool with a pool bar, a fitness centre, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and approximately 13,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.

The resort’s location near Līhuʻe Airport provides convenient access to many of Kaua‘i’s well-known attractions. Visitors can explore destinations such as Hanalei Bay, Princeville, Kōkeʻe State Park and Waimea Canyon, as well as cultural sites including the Kaua‘i Museum and agricultural experiences at Lydgate Farms.
Hale Hōkūala Kaua‘i will also participate in Hilton Honors, Hilton’s loyalty programme, allowing guests to earn and redeem points during their stay.
With reservations now open, the resort adds a new hospitality offering to Kaua‘i and expands Curio Collection by Hilton’s presence into the Hawaiian Islands.
