Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Receives ASEAN MICE Venue Certification
Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Enhances Event Facilities Following Venue Investment
Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok has received certification under the ASEAN MICE Venue Standard (AMVS) and the Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS) following an investment of THB 8 million in event technology and venue upgrades.
The certification recognises the hotel’s operational capabilities and service standards for meetings, conferences, incentive programmes, corporate events and weddings. The achievement further supports the property’s position within Bangkok’s meetings and events sector, particularly in the well-connected Sukhumvit district.
As part of the investment programme, the hotel upgraded its event spaces and introduced new LED display technology designed to support a range of event formats, including conferences, product launches, hybrid meetings and corporate presentations.
Located on the seventh floor, the hotel’s dedicated events area spans 1,492 square metres and includes four pillarless function rooms with ceiling heights ranging from five to seven metres. The flexible venue layout allows organisers to accommodate conferences, gala dinners, business forums, weddings and social events.
Each function room has been equipped with new LED display systems, while the Grand Chambray Ballroom features a 10 x 5.5-metre LED screen for larger-scale presentations and events.
The eighth floor offers five additional meeting rooms with capacity for up to 60 delegates. Designed for workshops, board meetings and breakout sessions, the rooms include LCD projection systems and access to a shared networking area.
For smaller gatherings and social functions, the hotel also offers The Deck on the ninth floor, a poolside venue suitable for receptions, dining events and outdoor screenings. The Greenhouse, located on the seventh floor, provides a garden setting for private dining experiences and small invitation-only events.

Commenting on the certification, Jirapha Krataithong, General Manager of Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok, said the recognition provides event organisers with confidence that the hotel meets recognised regional and national standards. She added that the recent investment in venue infrastructure and technology is intended to create a more efficient experience for planners and attendees alike.
The hotel benefits from direct access to Bangkok’s BTS Skytrain network, providing convenient connectivity to key commercial, retail and entertainment districts across the city. Suvarnabhumi International Airport is approximately 30 minutes away, while the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) can be reached within 10 minutes by car or via four BTS stations.
Nearby destinations include EmQuartier, Emsphere, The Emporium, Thonglor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, Siam Paragon and CentralWorld. Rajamangala National Stadium and several golf courses are also accessible for corporate and incentive travel programmes.
Located within Century Sukhumvit Mall, the Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok hotel is surrounded by dining, retail, and entertainment options and offers more than 480 parking spaces to support meetings, conferences, and local event attendance.
