IHCL signs Gateway hotel in Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh
Gateway hotel project announced by IHCL in Dirang
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of Gateway Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh. The project will be developed as a greenfield hotel.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development at IHCL, said that Dirang is seeing increased interest from leisure travellers and adventure visitors, supported by improved accessibility. She noted that its location on the route to Tawang makes it a relevant stop within the state’s tourism circuit. The signing also reflects IHCL’s expansion into emerging destinations. The company is partnering with Phurpa Tsering for the project.
The Gateway Dirang hotel will have 70 keys and include an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant and a bar. Facilities will also include a banquet hall, meeting rooms, a swimming pool, a fitness centre and a spa.
Phurpa Tsering said the partnership will bring the Gateway brand to Dirang and support tourism activity in the region.
Located in the West Kameng district, Dirang is known for its orchards, terraced fields, and pine-covered hills. The area also attracts visitors for its natural hot water springs.
With this addition, IHCL’s portfolio in the North East will include 21 hotels, of which 12 are currently under development.
