Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad has announced the promotion of Chef Suresh Rajan Pillai to Head Chef.

Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad has promoted Suresh Rajan Pillai to Head Chef, recognising his contribution to the property’s culinary development. He was previously serving as Chef de Cuisine.
Chef Suresh has been associated with Mazzo, the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, where he has led menu development with a focus on contemporary interpretations of South Indian cuisine. In his new role, he will oversee the overall culinary direction of the property, including menu planning and food and beverage operations.
He holds a background in hotel management and culinary science from Oriental Catering College of Hotel Management. His culinary approach draws from regional influences including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Malaysian cuisine, reflected in curated dining formats and seasonal menus.
During his tenure, he has led the development of themed dining experiences and menu revamps at Mazzo, contributing to its positioning within the local dining landscape. His work includes curated festive menus and multi-course dining formats based on regional cuisines.
Chef Suresh Rajan Pillai was also recognised at the Restaurant India Awards 2026, where he received the Chef of the Year award.
In his new role, he will continue to lead culinary operations across the property, with a focus on menu development and regional cuisine-led dining experiences.
