APPOINTMENT

Accor has announced the appointment of Amit Malik as the new Vice President – People & Culture, South Asia.

Amit brings over two decades of experience in human resources, business leadership and organisational transformation. He holds extensive expertise in culture building, leadership development, nurturing talent strategy, and driving large-scale organisational and business transformation.

Over the years, he has worked closely with boards and senior stakeholders, contributing to strategic decision-making, governance frameworks, and organisational effectiveness initiatives.

Prior to joining Accor, Amit served as President – Japan, Asia Pacific & Australia (JAPA) at WadzPay. He also spent a significant part of his career at Aviva Life Insurance India, where he held multiple leadership roles including Chief People Officer, Chief People Operations & Customer Services Officer, and later CEO & Managing Director. His professional journey includes leadership roles at Bank of America, Royal Bank of Scotland, American Express, and GSK Consumer Healthcare.

In his new role, Amit will partner with business leaders to build stronger organizational capabilities, drive leadership excellence, and enhance the employee experience across Accor’s expanding portfolio in the region. He will be a key part of the South Asia leadership team and will be leading the People, Talent & Culture agenda across India and the broader South Asia region.
